Lake Bohinj
July 2010 • Most visitors to Slovenia check off the box for Lake Bled, where they can stare at a castle perched on an island. But I followed the advice of a hostel clerk who recommended Lake Bohinj instead. No castles or islands, just forests and mountains. Biked around for hours then finished off with a bracing dip in the alpine water.
