New Zealand

February 2005 • Remy and Monica let me use their home in Auckland as a base for traveling around the north and south islands. Tried doing it via bus and train, but those systems are as extensive and efficient as what we have in the U.S., so I had to learn how to drive on the wrong side of the road while seated on the wrong side of the car. Weather in New Zealand is a fickle friend and turns on a dime. The photos with bright sunshine and blue sky are favorites because those days were so rare.
